Description

This 15-Minute Lemon Garlic Salmon is a fast and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. The fresh lemon, garlic, and herbs infuse the salmon with vibrant, zesty flavors while keeping it moist and tender. With only a few simple ingredients, you can create a healthy and satisfying meal in under 20 minutes. Whether you’re new to cooking or an experienced chef, this dish will quickly become one of your favorites.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or dill), chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the garlic and lemon zest are evenly distributed.

  • Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets into a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets and let them marinate for about 5 minutes.

  • Preheat the Skillet: While the salmon marinates, heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Allow the skillet to get hot before adding the salmon.

  • Cook the Salmon: Once the skillet is hot, place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for 3-4 minutes, undisturbed, until the bottom is golden and crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes, depending on the thickness, until the salmon is fully cooked and flakes easily with a fork.

  • Serve: Remove the salmon from the skillet and transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
