Ingredients
2 8-inch flour tortillas
2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic finely minced
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
0.25 teaspoon kosher salt
0.125 teaspoon black pepper
0.125 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
0.75 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional
Instructions
1. In a small bowl combine the softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until you have a smooth, spreadable garlic butter.
2. Lay the flour tortillas on a cutting board and lightly prick each one several times with a fork to keep them from puffing too much in the air fryer.
3. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each tortilla, going all the way to the edges so every bite is seasoned.
4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the tortillas, then add the grated Parmesan on top, keeping the cheese in a relatively even layer so it melts without burning.
5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if your model requires preheating. Place one or two tortillas in the basket in a single layer, cheese side up.
6. Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes, checking at around 4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling with golden spots and the tortilla edges are crisp and lightly browned.
7. Carefully transfer the cooked tortillas to a cutting board and let them cool for 1 to 2 minutes so the cheese can set slightly.
8. Slice each tortilla into wedges like a thin pizza, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if using, and serve warm with your favorite sauces or alongside dinner.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a thin smear of marinara sauce under the cheese to turn this into quick tortilla “pizza” garlic bread.
Every air fryer runs a little differently, so keep an eye on the first batch and adjust the time up or down by a minute to find your perfect level of crispiness.
