Whether you’re looking for quick lunch ideas, healthy side dishes, or a low-carb salad option, this recipe fits the bill. Easy to make ahead, naturally gluten-free, and irresistibly crunchy — your go-to salad just got a flavorful upgrade.

Ingredients

3 cups broccoli florets

3 cups cauliflower florets

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons white vinegar

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the broccoli and cauliflower florets thoroughly. Cut into small, bite-sized pieces.

2. Fry the bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels, and crumble.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, and sugar until smooth.

4. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cauliflower, red onion, cheddar, and bacon. Pour dressing over the top.

5. Mix everything together until evenly coated.

6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.

Add sunflower seeds or raisins for a sweet-nutty contrast.
