1 ½ cups milk
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
1. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, brown the ground sausage over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Add the cooked pasta and sausage to the bowl. Mix everything until well combined.
6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish.
7. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and dot with butter.
8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
Notes
Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing for cleaner portions.
Swap in spicy sausage or different cheese blends for a flavor twist.
