Ingredients
2 cans crescent roll dough
4 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the crescent dough and pinch seams to seal, forming a sheet.
3. Slice dough into 1-inch wide, 6-inch long strips.
4. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush each strip with melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
5. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
6. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Let cool 5 minutes before drizzling with glaze.
8. For glaze: whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over twists and serve.
Notes
Make sure to pinch the seams of the dough well to avoid unrolling during baking.
For a richer twist, swap half the butter for browned butter or add a pinch of nutmeg.
