Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional: powdered sugar for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4 rectangles.
  4. Spoon apple mixture along one edge of each rectangle.
  5. Roll up each piece, jelly-roll style, and seal edges.
  6. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet, seam side down.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired.
