Ingredients
9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie is perfect)
2 cups fresh broccoli florets, lightly steamed
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups whole milk
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and whisk for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 4–5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar cheese, garlic, onion powder, ground mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 3 noodles, half the chicken, half the broccoli, and some sauce.
- Repeat layers, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
