Ingredients

113 g unsalted butter

150 g granulated sugar

100 g brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

280 g all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

100 g powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and fragrant. Let cool slightly.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.

3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk to combine.

4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients to form a soft dough.

6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

7. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and roll in powdered sugar.

8. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.

9. Cookies should look cracked on top and slightly soft in the center.

10. Cool before serving or storing.

Notes

For deeper flavor, chill the dough overnight instead of 30 minutes.

Don’t skip the powdered sugar coating—it’s key for the crinkle effect!
