Ingredients
1 pound ribeye or strip steak
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 ounces linguine pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Pat the steak dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the steak 3–4 minutes per side. Let it rest.
3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
4. Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.
5. In a saucepan, combine garlic butter, cream, and Parmesan. Stir until smooth.
6. Add pasta and reserved water to sauce. Toss to coat and simmer.
7. Slice steak against the grain. Plate pasta, top with steak, and drizzle garlic butter.
Notes
Resting the steak before slicing ensures juiciness.
Add reserved pasta water slowly to control sauce thickness.
