Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
0.5 cup milk
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
3. Add chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until onion is soft.
4. In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
5. Layer half the potatoes in the baking dish, then add half the beef mixture.
6. Pour half the soup mixture over, then sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
7. Repeat the layers with remaining potatoes, beef, soup, and cheese.
8. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
9. Remove foil and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
10. Let rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
