Ingredients
226g rotini pasta
450g ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
800g crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
200g Velveeta cheese, cubed
100g shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
3. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
5. Toss cooked rotini into the sauce and stir to coat evenly.
6. Reduce heat and mix in cubed Velveeta until melted and creamy.
7. (Optional) Transfer to a baking dish, top with mozzarella, and broil for 2–3 minutes until bubbly.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Make sure to simmer the sauce long enough to deepen the flavor.
Broiling with mozzarella adds a nice golden crust on top for extra texture.
