Description

Christmas Rice Crispy Treats With Sprinkles are the kind of easy dessert that instantly makes a holiday table feel more festive. These no-bake treats are made with buttery marshmallows, crispy rice cereal, and a smooth white chocolate coating, then finished with red, green, and white sprinkles for the perfect Christmas touch. They are ideal for holiday parties, cookie trays, easy dessert ideas, sweet snacks, and fun food ideas when you want something cute, quick, and crowd-pleasing without a lot of work.

Ingredients

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

10 oz mini marshmallows

3 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

12 oz white candy melts or white chocolate

1/4 cup red green and white sprinkles

Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper and set it aside.

2. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter completely.

3. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.

4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

5. Remove the pot from the heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.

6. Let the mixture cool for 3 to 5 minutes so it is easier to handle.

7. Lightly grease your hands, then scoop and roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls.

8. Place the balls on the prepared tray and let them firm up for about 10 to 15 minutes.

9. Melt the white candy melts or white chocolate according to the package directions until smooth.

10. Dip each rice crispy ball into the melted coating and let any excess drip off.

11. Return each coated treat to the tray and immediately top with Christmas sprinkles.

12. Let the coating set fully at room temperature or chill briefly in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

Greasing your hands lightly before rolling makes the sticky cereal mixture much easier to shape neatly.

Add the sprinkles right after dipping each treat so they stick before the white coating begins to set.
