It’s a satisfying, easy dinner idea perfect for weeknights or Sunday suppers. Whether you’re seeking dinner ideas, a quick and easy recipe, or just timeless food inspiration, this meatloaf delivers. Serve it up with mashed potatoes or slice it for sandwiches—either way, it’s a delicious and nostalgic favorite.

Ingredients

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 eggs

¾ cup milk

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

½ cup ketchup (for glaze)

1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional for glaze)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan or tray with parchment or foil.

2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley.

3. Mix gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.

4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the tray or in the pan.

5. Bake for 40 minutes.

6. Meanwhile, mix ketchup and brown sugar for the glaze.

7. Spread glaze over meatloaf and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to prevent a dense texture.

Let the meatloaf rest before slicing for cleaner cuts and retained moisture.
