Ingredients
1 lb sliced corned beef
2 cups sauerkraut, well drained
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 can crescent dough sheet or 6 slices rye bread
2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Press crescent dough into the bottom of the dish or tightly layer rye bread to form the base.
3. Add a layer of corned beef.
4. Spread sauerkraut evenly over the corned beef.
5. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the sauerkraut.
6. Add a layer of Swiss cheese.
7. Repeat the layers if desired, finishing with Swiss cheese on top.
8. Brush with melted butter for a golden top.
9. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Squeeze sauerkraut very well to avoid a soggy bottom.
Letting the bake rest before cutting helps the layers set perfectly.
