The first time I made these Coconut Almond Truffles, I wanted something that felt festive, elegant, and incredibly easy at the same time. These little bites delivered all of that in one creamy, snowy-looking treat. They have a soft coconut center, a whole almond tucked inside, and a sweet coating that makes them look like they came straight from a holiday dessert tray.

Coconut Almond Truffles

What I love most is how simple they are to pull together. I do not need to turn on the oven, I do not need complicated decorating skills, and I still end up with a dessert that feels special. Whether I am making them for a cookie exchange, a party platter, or just to keep in the fridge for a sweet bite after dinner, they always disappear fast.

Why Are Coconut Almond Truffles So Irresistible?

For me, these truffles hit that perfect balance between creamy, nutty, and chewy. The coconut gives them texture and sweetness, while the almond in the center adds a satisfying bite that keeps them from tasting one-note. They feel rich enough for dessert, but they are also small enough to enjoy as a quick sweet treat.

Another reason I keep coming back to them is how versatile they are. I can make them ahead, chill them until firm, and serve them straight from the fridge. They also look beautiful on a dessert board with other no-bake sweets, which makes them a favorite during the holidays and for homemade gift boxes.

Ingredients for the Coconut Almond Truffles

Sweetened shredded coconut
This is the heart of the truffles. It brings the signature coconut flavor and gives each bite that soft, chewy texture I want.

Sweetened condensed milk
I use this to bind everything together while adding richness and sweetness. It helps create that smooth truffle center without any baking.

Vanilla extract
A splash of vanilla rounds out the flavor and makes the filling taste warmer and more dessert-like.

Almond extract
This ingredient deepens the almond flavor and makes the center taste more fragrant and candy-like.

Whole almonds
I press one into the middle of each truffle for crunch and a beautiful surprise inside.

Powdered sugar
A little powdered sugar helps thicken the mixture and makes it easier to roll.

Extra shredded coconut for coating
Rolling the truffles in more coconut gives them that snowy finish and adds a little extra texture on the outside.

Pinch of salt
Even in a sweet recipe, I like a small pinch of salt to keep the flavors balanced.

How To Make the Coconut Almond Truffles

Step 1: Mix the Coconut Base

In a medium mixing bowl, I stir together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, powdered sugar, salt, and shredded coconut. I keep mixing until everything is thick, sticky, and evenly combined.

Step 2: Chill the Mixture

Once the mixture is fully combined, I cover the bowl and chill it for about 20 to 30 minutes. This makes it much easier to scoop and shape without sticking too much to my hands.

Step 3: Shape Around the Almonds

I scoop out small portions of the chilled mixture, flatten each one slightly, and place a whole almond in the center. Then I fold the coconut mixture around the almond and roll it into a smooth ball.

Step 4: Coat the Truffles

After shaping each truffle, I roll it in extra shredded coconut until the outside is completely covered. This gives every piece that pretty white finish and a little extra coconut bite.

Step 5: Chill Until Firm

I place the finished truffles on a parchment-lined tray or plate and chill them again for at least 30 minutes. They firm up beautifully and become easier to serve.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

Once chilled, they are ready to serve. I like them cold, straight from the fridge, when the texture is creamy but still nicely set.

Best Ways to Serve and Store Coconut Almond Truffles

I usually serve these Coconut Almond Truffles slightly chilled on a platter with coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. They also make a great addition to holiday dessert trays because they look polished without needing any extra decoration.

For storage, I keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. If I want to make them well ahead of time, I freeze them in a single layer first, then transfer them to a freezer-safe container. They hold up well for about 2 months. I just let them sit in the fridge for a few hours before serving again.

What to Serve With Coconut Almond Truffles?

Fresh Berries

A small bowl of raspberries or strawberries adds brightness and a fresh contrast to the sweet coconut.

Dark Chocolate Coffee

I love serving these with strong coffee because the bitterness balances the creamy sweetness so well.

Hot Cocoa

For a cozy dessert spread, hot cocoa makes these truffles feel even more festive.

Vanilla Ice Cream

A scoop of vanilla ice cream turns a few truffles into a simple plated dessert.

Espresso

If I am serving these after dinner, espresso is one of my favorite pairings because it keeps the dessert from feeling too heavy.

Fruit and Cheese Board

These fit surprisingly well on a board with grapes, mild cheeses, and nuts for a sweet-salty mix.

Chocolate Drizzle

If I want to dress them up, I serve them with a little melted dark chocolate drizzled over the top.

Description

Coconut Almond Truffles are the kind of easy no-bake dessert that feels both cozy and elegant at once. Each bite is soft, creamy, and packed with sweet coconut flavor, with a whole almond tucked inside for the perfect little crunch. This is one of my favorite quick dessert recipes for holiday trays, party platters, edible gifts, and easy sweet snack ideas because it comes together with simple ingredients and delivers bakery-style results without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

14 whole almonds

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut for coating

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, mix 2 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt until a thick sticky mixture forms.

2. Cover the bowl and chill the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes so it is easier to shape.

3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and flatten it slightly in your hand.

4. Place 1 whole almond in the center, then wrap the coconut mixture around it and roll into a ball.

5. Repeat with the remaining mixture and almonds.

6. Roll each truffle in the extra 3/4 cup shredded coconut until fully coated.

7. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined plate or tray.

8. Chill for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.

9. Serve cold or slightly chilled.

Notes

Use slightly damp hands when rolling the truffles to keep the mixture from sticking too much.

For a firmer texture, chill the shaped truffles a little longer before serving or storing.
