Ingredients
2 chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
8 ounces bowtie pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup heavy cream
4 ounces cream cheese softened
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional
1/2 cup reserved pasta water as needed
Instructions
1. Season both sides of chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until cooked. Remove and rest.
3. Cook bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
4. In same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic. Sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Pour in heavy cream and stir until smooth.
6. Add mozzarella and Parmesan. Stir until creamy. Thin with pasta water as needed.
7. Toss in cooked pasta and mix to coat in sauce.
8. Slice rested chicken and arrange on top of pasta.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
10. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne to the cheese sauce.
Swap mozzarella for pepper jack for a spicier cheese pull.
