1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

2 tablespoons chopped parsley


Instructions

1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and carrots, then cook for 4 to 5 minutes until softened.

2. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Sprinkle in the flour and stir well for 1 minute to form a light roux.
