Ingredients
For the Chicken:
2 large chicken breasts, halved horizontally (or 4 small breasts)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally, pat dry, and season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Deglaze the Pan: Pour in chicken broth (or white wine), scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce.
- Make the Sauce: Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Dijon mustard. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Combine Chicken & Sauce: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
