Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders:

2 large chicken breasts, cut into strips

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons milk

For the Creamy Mustard Dip:

¼ cup Dijon mustard

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon honey

½ teaspoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon whole-grain mustard (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the chicken by cutting it into even strips and patting dry with a paper towel.
  3. Set up a breading station with one bowl of whisked eggs and milk, and another bowl with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and seasonings.
  4. Coat the chicken by dipping each strip into the egg mixture, then pressing it into the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  6. Make the mustard dip by whisking together Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, honey, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, and whole-grain mustard.
