Ingredients
1.5 to 2 pounds cube steak
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup water or beef broth
1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick spray or use a liner. Layer sliced onions on the bottom if using.
- Place cube steaks over the onions or directly into the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, water or broth, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
- Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the steak.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until meat is tender.
- Serve hot with gravy spooned over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
