Ingredients

2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces cream cheese

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.

2. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and dill over the chicken.

3. Add cubed cream cheese over the top of the chicken.

4. Pour chicken broth around the sides of the crockpot.

5. Add the butter on top.

6. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is fork-tender.

7. Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot with two forks.

8. Stir well until the sauce is creamy and evenly coats the chicken.

9. Garnish with fresh thyme or dill before serving.

Notes

If the sauce thickens too much after storing, stir in a splash of warm broth or cream when reheating.
