Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.

3. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

4. Lower heat, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Add reserved pasta water to the skillet, then return shrimp and add cooked pasta.

6. Toss everything together with parmesan, lemon juice, and parsley.

7. Stir over low heat until well combined and glossy.

8. Serve hot with extra parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Use fresh garlic and freshly grated parmesan for the most vibrant flavor.

Don’t overcook the shrimp—they cook quickly and can become rubbery if left too long.
