Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon sugar

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon instant yeast

¾ cup warm water (plus more if needed)

3 tablespoons plain yogurt

2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for dough)

2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

2 cloves garlic, finely minced (optional)

Fresh chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water, yogurt, and olive oil. Mix to form a soft dough, adding water if needed.
  3. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
  4. Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into an oval about ¼ inch thick.
