Ingredients

240 g all-purpose flour

100 g brown sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

0.5 tsp salt

2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

115 g cold unsalted butter, cubed

120 g pumpkin puree

60 ml heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

100 g powdered sugar

1 tbsp pumpkin puree

1 tbsp maple syrup

0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.

2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3. In another bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.

4. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until just combined.

5. Shape dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.

6. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes.

7. Let scones cool completely on a wire rack.

8. Mix all glaze ingredients until smooth.

9. Drizzle glaze over cooled scones before serving.

Notes

Keep your butter cold for the flakiest scones.
