Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

0.25 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 avocado

0.5 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

2 tablespoons lime juice

1 clove garlic

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

2 cups shredded green cabbage

1 cup shredded purple cabbage

8 small corn tortillas

Extra cilantro and lime wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Toss shrimp with paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil.

2. Heat a skillet over medium-high and sear shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.

3. Blend avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, and a pinch of salt into a smooth crema.

4. Toss green and purple cabbage with lime juice and a pinch of salt to create slaw.

5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or oven until soft.

6. Assemble tacos by layering slaw, shrimp, avocado crema, and topping with cilantro and lime.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice and ripe avocado for the best crema texture.

Shrimp cook very fast—don’t overcook or they’ll turn rubbery.
