Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 medium apple, thinly sliced

3 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon espresso powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg, beaten

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 4 rounds. Score a smaller circle inside each to form a border.

3. Mix cream cheese, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar until smooth.

4. Spread cream cheese mixture inside each pastry circle.

5. In a bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, espresso powder, and remaining vanilla.

6. Arrange apple slices over cream cheese in a fan shape.

7. Brush the edges with beaten egg.

8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and puffed.

9. Mix powdered sugar and milk to form glaze. Drizzle over warm danishes.

10. Serve immediately or cool and store.

Notes

Thaw puff pastry overnight in the fridge for best results.
