Flaky Teriyaki Salmon Bowls

Description

Flaky Teriyaki Salmon Bowls are the kind of easy dinner that makes me excited to cook. Tender salmon cubes are glazed in a sweet-savory teriyaki sauce, then served over fluffy rice with creamy avocado, bright edamame, and fresh green onions for a colorful bowl that feels both wholesome and satisfying. This is one of my favorite quick dinner recipes, healthy bowl meals, and easy food ideas for busy weeknights because it delivers bold flavor, simple prep, and a fresh finish in every bite.

Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, cut into cubes

1/3 cup teriyaki sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tsp sesame oil

2 cups cooked white rice

1 avocado, sliced

1 cup shelled edamame

2 green onions, sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds

1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

1. Pat the salmon dry and cut it into bite-sized cubes.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.

3. Toss the salmon with half of the sauce and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Cook or reheat the rice and prepare the avocado, edamame, green onions, and lime.

5. Arrange the salmon on a lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly caramelized.

6. Brush the salmon with the remaining sauce during the last few minutes of cooking.

7. Divide the rice between bowls and top with the salmon, avocado, and edamame.

8. Finish with green onions, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lime before serving.

Notes

Use fresh salmon and avoid overcooking it so the pieces stay tender and flaky instead of dry.

Add the avocado just before serving to keep it fresh and vibrant.
