Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)

16 oz cream cheese (softened)

2/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream

2 large eggs (for cheesecake layer)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for topping, optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment and grease the sides.

2. In a bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, flour, and espresso powder. Mix until smooth.

3. Pour brownie batter into pan and bake for 18–20 minutes until just set. Let cool slightly.

4. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix in eggs one at a time.

5. Pour cheesecake mixture over brownie base. Bake 45–50 minutes until center slightly jiggles.

6. Cool at room temp, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

7. Heat heavy cream and pour over 1 cup chocolate chips. Let sit 2 minutes, stir smooth.

8. Let ganache cool slightly and pour over chilled cheesecake. Spread evenly.

9. Optional: Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Chill again briefly before slicing.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother cheesecake batter.

Let the cheesecake cool completely before adding ganache for clean layers.
