It’s the perfect answer for dinner ideas that impress with minimal effort. Whether you’re serving guests, treating yourself, or feeding the family, this is one of those easy recipes that delivers bold flavor and maximum comfort.

Ingredients

10 oz steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)

8 oz linguine pasta

2 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 1/2 cups shredded four-cheese blend (cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, provolone)

2 tbsp cream cheese (optional)

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped parsley or chives

Instructions

1. Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

2. Cut steak into bite-size cubes. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sear steak cubes for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.

4. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Toss steak in garlic butter for 1 minute. Set aside.

5. In a saucepan, heat cream and a bit of butter. Add shredded cheese and cream cheese.

6. Stir continuously until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.

7. Add reserved pasta water to thin sauce if needed. Season with salt and pepper.

8. Toss linguine into cheese sauce. Stir to coat evenly.

9. Plate pasta and top with garlic butter steak. Garnish with parsley or chives.

Notes

Don’t skip the pasta water—it’s essential for thinning and emulsifying the cheese sauce.

Rest steak after cooking to keep it juicy and tender when sliced.
