Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cups cooked rice
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 small onion, diced
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Drain excess fat.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and cooked rice.
4. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13″ baking dish.
6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
7. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
You can substitute cream of mushroom with cream of chicken or celery for variety.
Leftover rice works great—just make sure it’s not overly dry.
