Ingredients

8 Hawaiian rolls (cut in half)

2 large eggs

½ cup milk

¼ cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)

Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruit (for serving)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half and dip each piece into the custard mixture for 10–15 seconds per side.
  3. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
