Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoon red food coloring

1 cup white chocolate chips

12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy.

4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, then mix until smooth and evenly combined.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms.

6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and most of the chopped Oreo cookies, saving a few pieces for the tops.

7. Scoop the dough into large balls, about 2 tablespoons each, and place them on the prepared baking sheets.

8. Press a few extra Oreo chunks and white chocolate chips on top of each dough ball.

9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers still look slightly soft.

10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 20 to 30 minutes before baking.

Do not overbake them, because the centers continue to set as the cookies cool on the pan.
