Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 ounces dark chocolate, melted (for dipping)
1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1. Cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
2. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
3. Stir in the flour and salt just until the dough comes together.
4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a large star tip.
5. Pipe 2-inch long cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
7. Cool cookies completely on the sheet.
8. Dip one end of each cookie into melted chocolate.
9. Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
10. Let cookies set completely before storing or serving.
Notes
For easier piping, make sure the dough is soft and your piping bag has a sturdy large tip.
Chill the cookies briefly before dipping to help the chocolate set faster.
