3 large eggs

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

8 full-size Kit Kat bars, broken into pieces


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until glossy and fully combined.

4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just mixed.

5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.

7. Arrange the broken Kit Kat pieces in an even layer over the batter.

8. Spoon the remaining batter over the Kit Kats and gently spread it to cover.

9. Press a few extra Kit Kat pieces on top if desired.

10. Bake for 30 to 36 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly soft.

11. Cool completely before lifting from the pan and slicing into squares.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter and more even texture.

Do not overbake if you want the brownies to stay fudgy and soft in the center.
