Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 packs instant ramen noodles (seasoning discarded)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Lower heat to medium and stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger (if using), and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, boil ramen noodles in a separate pot per package instructions. Drain and reserve 2 tablespoons of the cooking water.
4. Add cooked noodles to the beef mixture, tossing to coat. Add reserved water and drizzle with sesame oil.
5. Mix well, then top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer to control saltiness.
Add a fried egg or sautéed veggies to make it more filling.
