1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
1/4 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer until thickened.
3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
4. Gradually whisk in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until smooth.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
6. Fill taco shells with seasoned beef, then top with cheese sauce.
7. Place tacos on a baking tray and bake for 5–7 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, herbs, and a drizzle of sour cream or crema.
9. Serve hot and enjoy the melty, creamy, crunchy bliss!
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for the smoothest, meltiest sauce.
To keep taco shells crunchy, store fillings separately and assemble before eating.
