Ingredients
1 bag (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray or butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the skillet, stir, and simmer for 5–10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, and 1/4 cup Parmesan until creamy.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Add half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
- Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.
- Spoon half of the remaining meat sauce over the cheese layer.
- Repeat the layers: ravioli, cheese mixture, and sauce.
- Top with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
