Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)

10 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni works well)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, diced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt to taste

Optional: fresh parsley and extra Parmesan for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add butter to the pot. Stir in garlic and onion. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add pasta, beef broth, and cream. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low. Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once pasta is al dente and sauce is thickened, turn off the heat. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
  6. Serve hot, topped with parsley and extra cheese if desired.
