Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 tablespoon sesame oil (or vegetable oil)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (optional)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey

1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (mixed)

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish

Steamed white rice, for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, whisk orange juice, soy sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, and brown sugar.
  4. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the chicken. Stir to coat evenly.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for 3–5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve over rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
