Ingredients

3 sheets phyllo dough

4 ounces feta cheese

1 tablespoon cream cheese (optional)

2 tablespoons butter or olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

1 teaspoon chili flakes

2 tablespoons honey


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Crumble feta into a bowl and mix with cream cheese if using.

3. Lay one phyllo sheet flat, brush lightly with melted butter or olive oil. Repeat to layer 3 sheets total.

4. Place a spoonful of feta near the edge and roll up like a cigar. Repeat with remaining filling and phyllo.

5. Place rolls on the tray, brush tops with butter/oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flakes.

6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

7. While baking, warm honey with chili flakes in a small saucepan.

8. Drizzle hot rolls with chili honey just before serving.

Notes

Keep phyllo sheets covered with a damp towel while working to prevent drying.

Rolls are best served warm, drizzled with honey just before serving for optimal crispness.
