- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans (or your choice of nuts) evenly on a baking sheet and toast them for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar melts.
- Once the sugar has melted, slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
