Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

2 large eggs

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.

3. In a large bowl, beat eggs, then add both sugars and oil. Mix until smooth.

4. Stir in pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until well combined.

5. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.

6. Fold in chocolate chips.

7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Add extra chips on top.

8. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

9. Let cool 15 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool fully.

10. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate chips for best flavor and melt.

Do not overmix the batter—this helps maintain a tender crumb.
