Made with puff pastry and swirled with pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and pumpkin spice, these rolls bake into golden spirals of cozy fall flavor. Whether you’re looking for quick breakfast ideas, a festive brunch treat, or just an easy dessert for guests, these rolls deliver big on flavor with minimal effort. Perfect for both beginner bakers and seasoned pros who want simple food ideas that look impressive. Great as a healthy-ish snack (hello, pumpkin!) or indulgent comfort food, this is one recipe you’ll want on repeat through the holidays and beyond.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but cold

1/3 cup pumpkin puree

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

1/3 cup chopped pecans

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out the creases. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a small bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well.

3. Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.

4. Roll the pastry tightly from the long side into a log. Slice into 1-inch rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss.

5. Place rolls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle coarse sugar if using.

6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

7. Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For crispier edges, bake rolls in a muffin tin for a defined shape.

Swap pecans for walnuts or add a drizzle of cream cheese glaze for a twist.
