Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the green beans, then trim the ends.
- In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the grated Parmesan and breadcrumbs (if using) and toss again to coat evenly.
- Spread the green beans out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until tender and slightly crispy.
- For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end.
