4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the potatoes: Wash, peel, and thinly slice the potatoes into 1/8-inch thick pieces.
