8 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups broccoli florets
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Extra Parmesan, for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine until al dente, adding broccoli in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
