Ingredients
2 cups cranberries
2 cups raspberries
4 cups granulated sugar
1 cup apple juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 pouch liquid pectin
Instructions
1. In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, raspberries, and apple juice. Simmer over medium heat until berries burst and soften, about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in granulated sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and orange zest. Bring to a rolling boil while stirring.
3. Stir in liquid pectin and boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
4. Test jam on a chilled plate; if it gels and wrinkles, it’s ready. Otherwise, boil for another minute and retest.
5. Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Wipe rims, seal, and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
Notes
Jam will continue to thicken as it cools, so don’t overboil.
You can use frozen berries, but slightly increase simmer time in Step 1.
