Ideal for date nights, indulgent weekends, or when you need bold food ideas, this recipe is a go-to for creamy pasta lovers, steak fans, and quick gourmet-style dinners.

Ingredients

12 oz ribeye or New York strip steak

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Generously season steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.

2. Bring salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.

3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side. Rest under foil.

4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons butter and garlic; sauté for 30 seconds.

5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted. Thin with reserved pasta water if needed.

6. Add cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss in the sauce. Simmer 1 minute to blend flavors.

7. Slice the rested steak. Plate pasta and top with steak slices. Garnish with parsley and more Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy and flavorful.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest and smoothest sauce.
