3 cups mashed potatoes

1 cup diced carrots

1 cup green peas

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

6 black olives or small nori squares (for ghost faces)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.

3. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent.

4. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, carrots, peas, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–8 minutes.

5. In a separate pot, boil peeled potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.

6. Spread the meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.

7. Load the mashed potatoes into a piping bag and pipe ghost shapes on top of the meat.

8. Use sliced olives or nori to make ghost eyes and mouths.

9. Bake for 20 minutes, or until edges of the potatoes start to brown.

10. Serve warm and enjoy the spooky fun!

Notes

Make sure mashed potatoes are stiff enough to hold their shape when piped.

You can prep the ghosts ahead and freeze them for an easy bake-and-serve dinner.
