Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, brown sugar, and black pepper.
2. Place steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it.
3. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4–6 hours.
4. Remove steak from marinade and let it come to room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
5. Cook steak on grill or pan to your preferred doneness.
6. Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
Don’t over-marinate—steaks with vinegar-based marinades can become mushy if left too long.
Always let the steak rest before slicing to preserve the juices and flavor.
